Six focused programmes that turn the Network's mission into real learning, research, advocacy, and connection experiences for members around the world.
Civic education is too often confined to formal institutions, expensive programmes, or those who already know where to look. The Civic Classroom changes that.
Through short, focused courses designed for real people with real schedules, we make public policy, governance, and civic participation accessible to anyone who wants to understand the systems that shape their lives — and learn how to engage with them.
The Impact Lab is where theory meets reality. Members come together in collaborative workspaces — virtual and in-person — to tackle real social challenges using evidence, creativity, and diverse expertise.
Each Lab focuses on a specific issue or theme, bringing together researchers, advocates, communicators, and practitioners to produce tangible outputs: toolkits, briefs, prototypes, and proposals that can actually be used.
Good research doesn't always need a university affiliation — it needs support, guidance, and community. The Research Incubator provides exactly that for student and early-career researchers who want to contribute to knowledge on issues that matter.
Members receive support with methodology, access to peer review, co-authorship opportunities, and pathways to publication — turning curiosity into credible contribution.
Accurate, ethical, and impactful storytelling is essential to social progress. Media for Change trains journalists, bloggers, podcasters, and storytellers to report on complex issues with nuance, rigour, and a genuine commitment to the communities they cover.
We believe the media can be a force for justice — and this programme equips practitioners with the tools, ethics, and connections to make it so.
Young people have ideas, perspectives, and energy that the world urgently needs — but too often lack the platform, confidence, or connections to make themselves heard. The Young Voices Forum changes that.
A dedicated space for youth-led dialogue, public engagement, and cross-cultural conversation on the civic issues that matter most to the next generation. Members don't just attend — they lead, convene, and shape the agenda.
Our most ambitious initiative. The Changemaker Fellowship will support a cohort of emerging leaders who have demonstrated commitment to systemic social impact — providing them with mentorship, resources, peer community, and the space to do their most important work.
Fellows will be selected across disciplines, geographies, and issue areas — united by their conviction that change is possible and their willingness to work for it.
🌱 This programme is in development. If you'd like to be involved in shaping it, join the founding community.
Every initiative is designed to be practical, inclusive, and genuinely useful — not just another thing to attend.
Structured but flexible programming that respects your time and fits around your commitments.
Most programmes are virtual-first, so geography is never a barrier to participation.
You're not a passive attendee — you're a contributor, co-creator, and peer to others in the room.
Every initiative aims to produce something tangible — a brief, a piece, a connection, a skill.
"Ideas without action are just wishes. At CFN, every initiative exists to turn what you know into what you do."
